The Ministry of Education has published figures on corona cases in Austrian schools. There were a total of 455 positive tests.
It has only been two weeks since the classrooms in Austria have become overcrowded. Sadly, the pandemic isn’t stopping in our schools either, as the latest figures show. As announced by the Ministry of Education in a broadcast, there have been a total of 455 cases of coronavirus in Austrian schools since the beginning of the school year. 372 students, as well as 58 teachers and 25 administrative employees tested positive. There are also 3,594 suspected cases.
Most of the cases occurred in Vienna (230), followed by Upper Austria, Lower Austria, Tyrol, Vorarlberg, Salzburg, Styria and Burgenland.
No student in Carinthia has tested positive yet, but seven teachers. In Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland, the school year started a week earlier.
