Heroin sold from the balcony

The drug transactions were carried out using the two brothers’ cell phones, after which the drugs were partly delivered to a parking lot in the immediate vicinity of the apartments or the heroin was also sold to buyers directly from the balcony of one apartment.

Subsequently, the St. Pölten prosecutor’s office issued arrest warrants as well as search and seizure warrants for a total of three apartments owned by the two brothers.

Police arrest suspects

On July 8, 2020, the 25-year-old defendant drove a 22-year-old North Macedonian citizen from Amstetten and a 29-year-old Austrian, also from Amstetten, in a car to Vienna to buy heroin. In the course of observation measures of the employees of the Amstetten District Police Command and the St. Pölten City Police Command, the 25-year-old suspect was arrested in Vienna Penzing, ordered by the Public Prosecutor of St. Pölten. The 22-year-old and 29-year-old were also arrested for entering with 50 grams of heroin. A total of 100 grams of heroin was found and seized from the three people.

During the night of July 8, 2020, the 27-year-old suspect was arrested at his apartment in Amstetten. The search warrants ordered by the St. Pölten prosecutor’s office were carried out at the Amstetten apartments. Additional addictive substances, cash, utensils for addictive substances, packaging material, addictive scales, sachets, etc., as well as three soft weapons were seized.

The accused confesses

After the preliminary investigations and interrogations were completed, the brothers were admitted to St. Pölten Prison on behalf of the St. Pölten Public Prosecutor. The accused confessed. A provisional weapons ban was imposed on them.

The arrests of the 22-year-old North Macedonian and the 29-year-old Austrian were lifted at the request of the St. Pölten prosecutor. The St. Pöltern prosecutor will be informed.

In an apartment in Amstetten, where the brothers were registered as their main residence but never stayed there, a tent with 120 cannabis plants was found.
