Still no relaxation in sight

In the last 16 hours, 343 new infections were recorded in Vorarlberg. In the same period, 16 people are considered to have recovered.
As a result, the number of people who tested positive today rose to 3,996 on Wednesday morning. The number of deaths related to the coronavirus was stable at 57.
Currently, 177 patients with Covid must be treated in Vorarlberg hospitals, 30 of these patients are in intensive care units.
Districts
Most of the cases are in the Bregenz district with 1,390, followed by the Dornbirn district with 1,100 cases. Behind them are the Feldkirch district with 969 infected people and the Bludenz district with 508 cases. So far, 140,562 tests have been carried out in Vorarlberg.
Municipalities
At the community level, there are currently the most active corona cases in Dornbirn (557). They are followed by Lustenau (360), Bregenz (280) and Feldkirch (279). Only eight communities are free of the corona virus.
Seven-day incidence
According to the crown board of the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), Vorarlberg continued to have the second worst value of all Austrian federal states for the seven-day incidence on Tuesday per 100,000 inhabitants, despite a trend slightly descending. With 697.5 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days, Vorarlberg was behind Upper Austria (702.3) and before Tyrol (602.5).
The four districts of Vorarlberg show a seven-day incidence of more than 570 on Tuesday. Vorarlberg’s “hotspot” is still the Dornbirn district with an incidence of 858.
