In Austria, the number of new SARS-CoV-2 infections rose to 327 in 24 hours, the Interior Ministry and the Health Ministry reported on Wednesday. Yesterday, Tuesday, the number of newly diagnosed cases was just over 200. Currently, 157 people are receiving hospital treatment for the coronavirus, eight more than yesterday, 30 of them in intensive care units.
734 people have died in relation to Covid-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic in Austria, this number also remained unchanged from yesterday. So far there have been 27,969 positive test results in Austria, 23,820 have recovered: this means the number of officially actively infected is 3,415.

Only two new corona cases in Salzburg
140 new infections were reported in Vienna, 61 in Triol, and 46 in Lower Austria. 33 cases were recorded in Upper Austria, 24 in Styria and 10 in Burgenland. The remaining 13 cases are distributed in the federal states of Vorarlberg (eight), Carinthia (three) and Salzburg (two).
