The FAC is one of those 2nd division representatives who have decided to apply for a Bundesliga license.
The Viennese are currently 12th, so the advance looks unrealistic. Therefore, the underlying idea is to more structurally address the requirements of the upper division.
“We are concerned about the future development of the club,” explains managing director Christian Kirchengast, why the Floridsdorfers are applying for a Bundesliga license for the second time since 2019.
Kirchengast: “Of course, we are aware that we are currently far from being promoted to the typical Bundesliga. The application for the Bundesliga license remains a high priority for us, because we always want to measure ourselves against the highest requirements in order to be able to play to achieve new developments in all areas. In any case, the responsible bodies of the Bundesliga will decide whether we will be licensed again. Little by little professionalize the whole club. “
Two years ago, the FAC fulfilled the requirements of the Bundesliga.
“In this context, we would like to thank all of our partners and sponsors who support us in these difficult times around Corona and the vast majority of whom are loyal. Without this support, our step-by-step development would not be possible.”, Kirchengast emphasizes.
