In the early hours of Monday morning, authorities attacked the structures of the Muslim Brotherhood in Austria. As reported, 60 apartments, houses, shops and clubhouses were searched and 30 suspects were arrested.
There is suspicion of terrorist organization, terrorist financing, subversive connections, criminal organization and money laundering, said by the Graz prosecutor. However, the main action must not be directly related to the terrorist attack in Vienna .

According to ORF Teletext, it is now known that the authorities managed to seize 25 million euros in cash as part of the campaign. According to investigators, seven real estate companies, six Islamic cultural associations and three foundations were raided.
According to the report, the foundations also include a private foundation led by a former president of the Community of Islamic Faith (IGGÖ). Additionally, there were records of a former IGGÖ cultural official, an investor with stakes in 70 startups in Austria, and a political scientist with a focus on Islam.
“We are taking action against these criminal, extremist and inhumane organizations with the utmost severity and all the possibilities of the rule of law,” Interior Minister Karl Nehammer (ÖVP) said shortly after the deployment.
