In Vienna, 909 deaths were recorded and 886 in Styria on Thursday morning. In Styria there were 71.1 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, in Upper Austria 67 and in Tyrol 56.9. In Burgenland, 52.3 people per 100,000 inhabitants have died from Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, 49.8 in Salzburg and 48.8 in Vorarlberg. 2,485 new infections
According to the Ministry of the Interior and Health, 2,485 new infections were added in the last 24 hours. On average, during the past seven days, there were 2,734 new infections each day. 33,531 people were considered actively infected Thursday. On the day with the highest number of new infections – 9,586 were reported on November 13 – the positive rate was 24.7 percent. On average, 11.1 percent of last week’s tests were positive. Most of the new infections in the last 24 hours were recorded in Vienna (513) and 482 in Upper Austria. In Lower Austria 375 new cases were added, in Styria 358 and in Tyrol and Carinthia 190 each. Salzburg reported 182 new infections, 114 Vorarlberg and in Burgenland there were 81.
