2,922 people were in the hospital on Tuesday, 51 more than on Monday. However, compared to last Tuesday, there were 602 fewer patients in the hospital. There were also more sick people in intensive care units on Tuesday, a total of 487, nine more than on Monday. In one week, the number of intensive care patients dropped by 86 (minus 15 percent).

342,226 people tested positive

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 342,226 people have tested positive in Austria. 309,595 survived a SARS-CoV-2 infection. In the last 24 hours, 29,463 arrived in Austria, of which 6.3 percent were positive. On average, 28,227 tests were performed daily during the last seven days
