In Austria, a total of 1,853 new cases of corona were reported in the last 24 hours. Around 2,900 sick people currently receive hospital treatment.
So far there have been 342,226 positive results in Austria. As of today (December 22, 2020, 9:30 a.m.), 5,540 people in Austria have died as a result of the coronavirus and 309,595 have recovered.
Currently, 2,922 people are in hospital treatment for the coronavirus and 487 of them are in intensive care units.
Corona stats Tuesday: 1,853 new infections
New infections since the last report are distributed among the Austrian federal states as follows:
- Burgenland: 30
- Carinthia: 145
- Lower Austria: 220
- Upper Austria: 294
- Salzburg: 205
- Steiermark: 308
- Tyrol: 231
- Vorarlberg: 62
- Vienna: 358
