The guy waited until there were no more customers in the store at 3:30 am, walked in, had a drink, and left it at the checkout. He then went behind the counter and threatened the 21-year-old employee with a knife, police said. He opened the cash register and the 18-year-old put money in a plastic bag.
The masked man with a scarf over his face fled on foot. Later, officials searched him in the course of the chase not far from the crime scene. They found cash in the apparently drug addict’s underwear. He was arrested and questioned on Wednesday morning.
