173 new confirmed coronavirus infections were reported in Lower Austria on Wednesday morning. The numbers are increasing rapidly throughout Austria.
“Today” provides an overview of the corona situation in Lower Austria: The number of confirmed coronavirus infections rose from 173 to 7,725 on Wednesday morning. With 6,299 recovered, there were 83 more than Tuesday, according to state medical personnel. 862 new infections on average

In Altlengbach (St. Pölten-Land district), three employees of the school nursery organized in cooperation with an association and the nursery fell ill with Covid-19. According to Deputy Mayor Daniel Kosak (ÖVP), 60 children were segregated. All teaching staff as well as community employees were also subjected to corona tests. Deaths in hospitals in Lower Austria
Hospitals in Lower Austria announced three deaths related to the coronavirus on Tuesday. As announced by Bernhard Jany of the Lower Austrian State Health Agency, men between 55 and 79 years old died. All those affected had suffered from previous illnesses. The number of deaths from Covid 19 in hospitals in the state rose to 119 as of Tuesday.
The youngest of the fatalities, 55, died at St. Pölten University Hospital. The death of a 70-year-old man was reported from the Mödling State Hospital and that of a 79-year-old man from the Lilienfeld State Hospital.
Nine infected teachers
A total of 67 more coronavirus infections were recorded in schools in Lower Austria from Friday afternoon to Tuesday. According to one broadcast, 58 students and nine teachers tested positive.
