Also on Saturday, the number of new corona infections in Austria exceeded 1,500.

In the last 24 hours there were a total of 1,626 new corona virus infections in Austria. Almost 7,400 people have died across Austria as a result of the disease.
So far 403,512 positive results have been obtained in Austria. As of today (January 23, 2021, 9:30 a.m.), 7,389 people in Austria have died as a result of the coronavirus and 380,248 have recovered.
There are currently 1,848 people in hospital treatment for coronavirus and 323 of them are in intensive care units.
The number of new Covid infections is not less than 1,500 even on Saturday
New infections since the last report are distributed among the Austrian federal states as follows:

- Carinthia: 139
- Lower Austria: 297
- Upper Austria: 243
- Salzburg: 186
- Steiermark: 233
- Tyrol: 112
- Vorarlberg: 84
- Vienna: 282
