More people in Austria than ever tested positive for coronavirus in 24 hours. This clearly exceeded the previous high of 1,335 cases on Wednesday.
New corona virus infections hit a new record on Thursday in Austria. As of 9:30 a.m., 1,552 people had tested positive for Covid-19 in 24 hours. 480 of the cases were registered in Vienna, the Interior Ministry reported in a broadcast. As of Thursday of last week there were still 1,209 new confirmed infections.
New infections are divided among the Austrian federal states as follows: Burgenland: 35, Carinthia: 22, Lower Austria: 242, Upper Austria: 224, Salzburg: 66, Styria: 119, Tyrol: 295, Vorarlberg: 69 and Vienna: 480.
So far 60,224 positive results have been obtained in Austria. As of today, 877 people in Austria have died from the consequences of the corona virus and 46,798 have recovered. There are currently 664 people in hospital treatment for the corona virus, 119 of them in intensive care units.
