A blast for FC Salzburg’s next opponents in the Maccabi Tel Aviv Champions League qualifying playoff!

Dor Peretz, Yonatan Cohen, Avi Rikan, Enrik Saborit, Nick Blackman and Daniel Peretz all tested positive for the virus. With the exception of Daniel Peretz, all six players played for Maccabi in the win over Dinamo Brest in the third qualifying round on Wednesday.
In addition, seven members of Maccabi’s supervisory staff tested positive. The club returned to training together on Sunday night without the infected players thanks to the permission of the Ministry of Health. More tests will take place on Monday and Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Maccabi Tel Aviv hosts FC Salzburg in the first leg of the Champions League playoff (9 pm the ticker LIVE). According to UEFA regulations, a team must have 13 ready-to-play players who have tested negative in order to participate in a European Cup match.
