Most of the new cases were back in Vienna.
Once again, more than 1,000 new infections were reported in Austria in 24 hours. At 427, Vienna again had the most new cases. So far 50,848 positive results have been obtained in Austria. 427 new cases in Vienna
As of Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 8 a.m., 18,551 positive tests were confirmed in Vienna.
The number of deaths related to the virus is 263. One woman (82) has died.
13,459 people have recovered.
Yesterday 6,207 crown tests were carried out in Vienna, making a total of 491,112 tests.
173 more coronavirus infections in Lower Austria
In Lower Austria, the number of confirmed coronavirus infections rose by 173 to 7,725 on Wednesday morning. With 6,299 recovered, there were 83 more than Tuesday, according to state medical personnel. A total of 121 deaths in relation to Covid-19 in the state are to be regretted. Therefore, 1,305 people were considered to be currently ill. So far, 285,846 tests have been carried out.
Crown alarm in nursery: 60 children separated
In Altlengbach (St. Pölten district), three employees of the evening nursery at the school, organized in cooperation with an association, and the nursery have fallen ill with Covid-19. According to Deputy Mayor Daniel Kosak (ÖVP), 60 children were segregated. All teaching staff as well as community employees were also subjected to corona tests. No further positive results emerged, Kosak said when asked Wednesday.
