1.92 per thousand: alcoholics caused an accident and fled

The 23-year-old was on Wednesday evening with his van on Weichstettner-Landesstraße L 1378 coming from Wolfern towards St. Marien. At the same time, a driver of the same age was traveling in the opposite direction.

On a long right-hand bend in the Weichstetten area in the municipality of St. Marien, Lower Austria crossed into the other half of the lane, causing a head-on collision. Both drivers were able to free themselves from the vehicles.

After a short conversation, Lower Austria suddenly fled on foot in the direction of Wolfern-Landesstraße. The police, who arrived at the scene of the accident shortly afterwards, were nevertheless able to call the man and have him return to the scene of the accident.

An alcohol test performed returned a value of 1.92 per thousand. The Austrian bass had to surrender his driver’s license, it is shown.
