Australian man jailed for throwing stones at pregnant Muslim woman


Rana Ilasmer, a mother of four, was 38 weeks pregnant when the attack took place last November, according to CNN-affiliated Nine News. Courageously she was sitting in a Sydney cafe when Stipe Lozina went to her table.

After talking to her briefly, Lozina punched Ilasmar several times and threw stones at her head as she fell to the ground. Friends and other patrons of Ilasmer jumped out of their seats to stop him.

According to Nine News, Logina made racist remarks before the alleged unofficial attack. Ilasmar told Nine News that she was focused on rescuing her unborn child.
