The state government has announced that the mandatory quarantine for close contacts will be increased by 10 days if they decide not to take the test on the 11th day of segregation. The change will take effect from midnight on Sunday.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said a “very high percentage” of people had submitted for the test but the rule was made to provide a more complete picture to the authorities.
“This is just double-checking, triple-checking that you have, in fact, still not got the virus,” he said.
One more death and 12 new cases were reported in Victoria on Sunday, ending three days without any casualties. These figures take Victoria’s death toll from the virus to 810 and the national number to 898.
