At least 5 people injured in shooting at floating market in San Antonio

At least five people were injured Sunday in a shooting at a fleet market in San Antonio, Texas, according to police.

One in five has been critically injured, The Associated Press reported.

Police Chief William McManus said gunfire erupted at 11:30 a.m. at Mission Market during a dispute on the ground, according to the newswire.

“This is the result of one kind of argument / I do not know if it was an argument between gang members or just people who knew each other or did not know each other,” McManus said.

The boss said a security guard also opened fire, but it was not known if the guard among the five people was injured, the AP reported.

The manager of the flea market, Al Ramon, told the newswire that the argument did not involve any employees of the market.

“It was between a supplier and a buyer, like two vendors, we don’t know exactly,” Ramon said, according to the AP.

McManus said two weapons were recovered at the scene, but the number of cannons fired was not immediately known, the AP reported.
