The virtual edition of the ASCAP Experience conference runs until the end of July with classes on teamwork, “leading ladies” in the publication, a City Council with the Representative of the United States House of Representatives, Adam Schiff (D-CA) and more, Billboard can reveal exclusively.

On July 16, ASCAP Experience: Home Edition returns with the afternoon session “Sound Tips – How to Build Your Music Team”, with moderator Bryan Calhoun (founder, Music Business Toolbox) and speaker Leron Rogers (partner, Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, LLP).

Later in the day, Coach K (COO of Quality Control Music) joins “In Conversation” with Nicole George Middleton, ASCAP Senior Vice President of Membership; and Priscilla Renea and DJ Camper will explore the magical “uh-huh” moment in songwriting.

The afternoon activities are completed with the “Leading Ladies of Publishing” panel, with Brandra Ringo (Warner Chappell Music), Ari Gelaw, (UPMG) and Jennifer Drake (Sony / ATV).

The action continues on July 23, with Sound Advice featuring BeatStars; “The Publisher Share” with Rusty Gaston (Sony / ATV) interviewed by Billboard executive editor Melinda Newman; an artists panel session yet to be announced; and a City Council with Adam Schiff and ASCAP Chairman of the Board and President Paul Williams.

The schedule for the July 30 wellness day will be announced in due course.

ASCAP’s free ongoing weekly virtual event kicked off on May 28 with the aspiration to “inspire, educate and connect” music creators during the closing period.
