“I just can not wait to come back,” Chigvintsev, 38, said Monday on “GMA.” “And I want to dedicate this season to my little boy.”

This marks the ninth season he has appeared on “DWTS”, having previously collaborated with the likes of Patti LaBelle, Mischa Barton and Maureen McCormick.

Chigvintsev met his fiancée, Nikki Bella, when the WWE star competed alongside him on season 25 of the iconic ABC series. They came in seventh place.

The couple, who got engaged in November last year, welcomed their son recently on July 31st. One day later, Bella’s twin sister, Brie Bella, also welcomes a son.

“It’s been the most incredible feeling and Nicole and I are just obsessed,” cried the new father, joking that his little boy these days literally owned him and Bella. “I did not know I could give so much love. It’s just amazing.”

Chigvintsev has signed up for the rather unique season of “DWTS.” While this will not affect him, his other married professionals will be separately quarantined for the full competition due to COVID-19. This new rule is meant to prevent the elimination of two pros and their fame if one were to become ill.
