Arrest made in connection with the shooting of actor Eddie Hassel


Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the murders of “The Kids Are All Right” and “Surface” actor Eddie Hassell.

The Grand Prairie Police Department identified 18-year-old D’Jon Anton as Focus News on Wednesday. Investigators believe Anton shot and killed Hassel during a random robbery incident last week.

Earlier, it was reported that Hazel, who was born in Texas, was shot dead while appearing to be working. The victim, 30, was shot several times and police confirmed at the time that a vehicle had been taken from the scene and was later recovered.

“On Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2020, the suspect, identified as 18-year-old De John Anton, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force and Grand Prairie Police for murder.” In a statement. “They are currently being held at the Grand Prairie Detention Center with a ના 500,000 bond.”
