Two weeks ago, the Southeastern Conference announced the 10 game schedule for each member institution by including two more cross-divisive games, and the Arkansas Razorbacks were hit hard with games assigned to Florida and Georgia.It was announced that the Hogs UGA Week would host 1 earlier today, and this evening the SEC announced the full week-by-week schedule.
The decision was made to remove the four matchups from each team and replace them with two SEC Division SEC games amid what was considered the best model that progressed due to the spread of COVID-19. The SEC has also postponed the start of fall camp from August 7 to August 17 and has postponed the start of the season from September 5 to September 26. “I’ve been saying since I got the job, we’re in the SEC West, exactly where the University of Arkansas belongs,” said Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman said prior to the schedule announcement. “I have no input at all on who we play. The 10-game SEC scheme, it’s what it is. I mean, we’ll have to play. That’s what our conference is. We’ll go out and play, and we look forward to it, actually.
