It’s been a while since Google updated its AR Core compatible phone list, but today a whole stack of 28 add-ons was unknowingly dropped on the list. New phones include Google’s brand new Pixel 4a, the LG Velvet 5G, Moto G8 Power Lite and G Pro, Vivo X50 and X50 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy A20, A20s, A30s, and Z Flip 5G, among a whole lot more.
Of course, most of these devices probably are already hie ARCore support, now it’s just officially documented. For those unfamiliar, ARCore supports things like viewing Google’s 3D Animal Library in Search, though it also needs Playground support.
