Apple Play today quietly removed its “TV Pal TV Remote” app from the App Store, which allows users to control Rem Pal TV from an iPhone or iPad by simulating a real remote. The app is no longer available for download from the Play Store and it has probably been discontinued, which means it will no longer receive any updates.
This is not surprising since Apple Play has added a remote feature built into the Control Center in iOS 12, so Apple Play TV users can access all the controls on the Siri remote without downloading any apps.
