The beta testing process for macOS 11 Big Sur continues today with the release of the third developer beta. macOS 11 Big Sur beta 3 comes two weeks after the second developer’s release two weeks ago and the original debut of the operating system at WWDC 2020 last week.
MacOS Big Sur Beta 3 details
Developers can upgrade to the third beta version of macOS Big Sur by going to the System Preferences application and then looking for the Software Update option. If you don’t immediately see that macOS Big Sur beta 3 is available for download, please continue to verify that the update is still rolling out and may take a few minutes to reach your device.
MacOS 11 Big Sur will be released to public beta users sometime this month, according to Apple. Interestingly, iOS 14 and tvOS 14 were released to public beta users two weeks ago, but there are still no signs of the beta versions of macOS 11 Big Sur or watchOS 7. As of now, the Apple Beta Software Program website It still lists macOS 11 Big Sur, and beta versions of watchOS 7 “are coming soon.”
macOS 11 Big Sur is a massive update for Mac, including a completely redesigned interface, a completely new messaging app, a new control center and notification center, and much more.
