Apple Pulse Watch Series 6 Blood Oxygen Monitoring is available in most countries worldwide

Apple Play yesterday announced the Apple Pulse Series 6 with a new sensor that enables blood oxygen oxygen monitoring capabilities, but Apple Play did not specify in which countries the feature will be available.

Some health capabilities, such as ECG and irregular heart rate instructions, have been limited in availability due to regulatory requirements, but it appears that those requirements do not apply to the blood oxygen monitoring facility.

Blood oxygen oxygen monitoring is available in more than 100 countries, indicating that there are no regulatory issues related to health that Apple Play has to deal with, according to the Apple Play Watch Feature Av Playability page. The support document for using Blood Oxygen Monitoring states that it is only available in “certain countries and territories”, so there may be some exceptions.

Those who are interested in purchasing Apple Plus and Watch Series 6 for the specialty should double check the availability page to make sure they have supported blood oxygen monitoring in their country.

Blood oxygen is measured by Blood Pulse and Watch Series 6 through a new Blood Oxygen application. It uses a series of red and green LEDs and infrared lights to measure the amount of light reflected through the skin, using these data to calculate blood color to obtain blood oxygen levels. Bright red blood has more oxygen, while dark red blood has less.

The Friday Pal and Watch Series 6 is available for purchase from the Apple Pal store online, with orders starting this Friday.
