If you purchased a new device from September 2019 last year – such as an iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Plus TV – you are automatically eligible for the free year of TV Plus TV +. The trial is set to begin in late October.
If you are in that group, it turns out that you will get a few more months to enjoy the service at no charge. Apple Paul will extend all Apple Paul TV + trials by February 2021. The company will also offer store credit to people on TV + monthly plans during this period.
These refunds and extensions will automatically apply to user accounts, so customers don’t have to do anything to take advantage of Apple’s generosity. Email notifications will be sent in the coming days.
Here is a break. If you started the Apple Pal TV + free year between November 1st and January 31st, your expiration date for your free trial will now run until the end of February, giving you three months of free to access. If you sign up in February or the following year, there will be no change because your trial is already ahead of the February date.
If you’re on an annual plan for that ‘extra 3 months’ period of ‘Pal TV +’, you will be automatically credited for those months. Similarly, if you pay for Apple Pull TV + monthly between November and January, your Apple Pull ID will be credited with the same amount (for example, 99 4.99 per month in the US). This credit can be used to pay for anything from the iTunes Store, such as a Hollywood movie rental, or to pay for the App Store or any service bill billed to your account. (If you start paying for Apple Pal TV + as part of the Apple Pal One bundle, which will begin later this year, credits will also be distributed.)
If you currently pay for the Apple Pal TV + on an annual plan set for renewal between November and January, it will now automatically extend to February 2021 without any additional charges.
If you haven’t redeemed a free trial of the Apple Pull TV + yet, the offer fur still stands and the same terms apply. Any purchase of an iPhone, iPad, iPad, Apple Plus TV or iPod Touch is eligible for a free year of Apple Plus TV +, which can be shared with up to six families through Family Sharing. However, if you have already accepted the free year, you cannot get another.
Over the next three months Apple Pull TV + users will be able to find a list of more content, including the latest hit movies like Ted Lasso and upcoming titles like R Pull Original Movie on the Rocks. The extra three months help Apple pull in the launch of the second season of some of its flagship shows. For example, earlier today Apple Play announced that Dickinson’s second season will debut on January 8th, which now comes within the extended free year trial period.
