If you ask nicely, Apple’s Siri Assistant can now flutter like a duck.
To try it, users have to update to the latest version of the iPhone operating operating system on iOS 14.3 and say “Hey Siri, does it sound like a duck?” In response, Siri Radb will call the duck naturally.
On Monday, Siri started playing short audio dio clips in response to questions about what it looks like. The sounds contained in the system include animals, devices and vehicles and Apple Pal says there are hundreds of options. On the iPhone or iPad, Siri also brings a picture of the animal and a link to more information from Wikipedia.
Here are some examples of what you can ask from Apple Pal:
- “Hey Siri, what does a humpback whale sound like?”
- “Hey Siri, does the toy look like a poodle?”
- “Hey Siri, what’s up Veena Vage?”
- “Hey Siri, does that sound like a fire truck?”
CNBC also tried it with some other animals, including a domestic cat, a lion, a bald eagle, and, in an example of how it can get unique, a kookaburra, a kind of bird that seems to be smiling at someone. Siri played many car noises, a train whistle, and even a short sample there.
If you ask “What does the fox say?” If asked, Siri can only quote the hit song from YouTube in 2013. But asking “what does the fox sound like” comes from the real call of the Arctic fox, who feels like someone drowning.
As opposed to exaggerating or cartoon-like as Dio Siri playing real Dio is real.
Funny Easter eggs like this are a common feature for sound assistants like Siri. They increase engagement, especially with children. Its introduction in Apple’s Paul Assistant already has the potential to break the jokes. Amazon’s Alexa assistant also tells jokes. Last year, Amazon researchers published a paper about how they used machine learning to make Alexa’s jokes fun.
The new feature is part of iOS 14.3, which introduces privacy labels on the App Store, supports the Fitness + Workout service, and fixes a bug related to text message notifications, according to the text moment.
