The Samsung Galaxy Fold is already a foldable phone in the market.
Apple is working on a foldable iPhone, reports Bloomberg.
What happened: Apple Pal Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) has started working on a new iPhone model with a foldable screen.
According to Bloomberg, the tech giant has developed prototype screens and is still in the process of internal testing. No official decision has been made on any of the launches, the financial news report said.
The prototype screen will make the iPhone bigger and “more portable”.
A person familiar with the test told Bloomberg that the screens would have a “mostly invisible occupancy with electronics located behind the display.”
Why it’s important: Apple has not yet announced any major changes to the 2021 product, new design, package terms and new changes to the 5G in 2020.
But California-based Cupertino is trying out a new feature: an in-screen fingerprint reader to unlock the smartphone.
In the current situation, where people have to wear masks due to the COVID-19 epidemic, making facial recognition difficult, this feature will be useful for iPhone users.
Price action: Shares of Trading Pal fell 0.25% on Friday and closed at 7 127.14 in regular hours of trading, after closing at 127.14 in post trading on Friday.
