Apple today launched a website that is designed to allow Apple Card holders to check their balances, view account statements, and make online payments for the “Apple Card.”
The card.apple.com website allows “Apple Card” holders to log in with their Apple IDs. The website has a payments section that displays the card balance in front and center, along with the next scheduled payment date and total card limits.
Monthly account statements can be viewed and downloaded through another section of the website, while Settings allows users to add a bank account, manage scheduled payments, or view the benefits of their Mastercard network. A support section of the website provides access to an “Apple Card” web user guide and a phone number that customers can call for help.
All these functions were previously available in the Wallet application, but having online access to the “Apple Card” tools is useful for those who prefer to manage their credit cards from their computers instead of their iPhones. It also allows Apple Card to be used without the need to have an iPhone or iPad for the first time, which is a major change.
Apple is now also allowing new applicants for the “Apple Card” to apply directly from the Apple.com website using any browser when purchasing a product using the “Apple Card” monthly Install option, a feature that previously required the Apple Store application or a Safari web browser. To reflect today’s new changes, Apple is sending emails to customers to inform them of updates to its customer agreements.
