Apple today launched an online dashboard for Apple Card users to manage their account online. Previously, all interactions for the Apple Card took place through the Wallet application on the iPhone.
This now means that you can view your account statements and pay your Apple Card bill online, for the first time. Before today, the only way to pay your balance if you lost your iPhone was to call Goldman Sach’s phone support.
Apple introduced the Apple Card in August last year, launching it as a forward-thinking “Apple-designed” digital credit card experience, with rich integrations in the iPhone Wallet app. However, the service had no presence on the web. This limitation naturally frustrated many customers, as web access to banking is considered a gamble on the table in 2020, and the Apple Card is intended to be a futuristic credit card.
Apple clearly heard those complaints and released a relatively comprehensive web app for version 1.0. Apple Card customers can view their current card balance and see how much credit they have available, as well as pay their bill.
The web experience also allows users to set up scheduled payment plans, view their previous monthly account statements, and provide links to contact support for help inquiries.
Even if you haven’t lost access to the Wallet app on a device, many credit card customers are comfortable using a website to do the same tasks, so it’s a good thing that this route is now available to users as well. Apple Card.
Apple users in the United States can apply for an Apple Card and review their interest rate offer, without affecting their credit rating.
Apple Card offers a 2% refund on all Apple Pay transactions, which are paid daily as Daily Cash (instead of an often complicated point reward scheme). Retailers, including Apple, Walgreens, and Uber, offer a 3% higher rebate rate on Apple Card purchases. While Apple claims that most interactions happen through digital and contactless Apple Pay transactions, Apple Card also offers a physical titanium card. However, purchases with the physical card are only eligible for a 1% refund.
Apple Card does not charge commissions other than accrued interest payments if the balance is not paid within the month.
More recently, Apple began offering sign-up bonuses to attract more Apple Card members. Currently, new users can get a $ 50 daily cash bonus when they use the card to buy an Apple service, such as an Apple TV + or Apple Music subscription.
