Rip. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recorded her experience receiving the COVID-19 vaccine and shared it with her 8.2 million Instagram followers.
On Friday night the new representative from parts of the Bronx and Queens shared a video of himself sharing – including filling out a questionnaire – about the injection itself, as well as how it felt afterwards.
She wrote in the post, “I never told you to do something I wasn’t willing to do myself.”
The Democratic Socialist also said in response to questions from followers that she was experiencing some minor symptoms after inoculation.
“I have a sore muscle in my hand that is not uncommon with any shot. The other thing I’m experiencing is fatigue – but, it’s been a long time since I’ve had a break, ”he said, inspiring a weekend marathon session on Capitol Hill.
Oxyo-Cortez also tried to explain in general terms how the mRNA vaccine differs from conventional inoculation – by teaching cells how to make immune-producing proteins, rather than injecting a patient with a weak or inactive strain of the virus.

But the video did not go down well with all of his followers – with some questioning why politicians were being shot before some healthcare workers got home.
