AOC breaks with Bobby Jindal over talking 60-second window

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York caught up with former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal on Twitter after pointing out that she only had a 60-second speaking window on the 2020 Democratic National Convention.

Jindal, a Republican, noted the short span of time and wrote that Republicans “should give themselves more time at their convention to show voters how crazy Dem ideas are.”

The Democratic freshman congresswoman responded about an hour and 20 minutes later.

“If I can regularly roast Trump sycophants at 280 characters or less, then I can speak against progressive values in 60 seconds,” they argued.

Leading progressive Ocasio-Cortez also highlighted the Democratic National Committee (DNC)’s views, accusing Jindal of supporting a GOP sabotage (sic) of drugs, votes, etc. From people by post. ‘

“Apparently democracy means nothing to you,” she added.

Jindal, without commenting on Ocasio-Cortez, followed up by tweeting, “Dems who spend a lot of time telling why they hate @realDonaldTrump and think voters should vote against him. Hope they spend at least some time pretending to make their case for @JoeBiden. ”

Democrats have argued that planned changes to the U.S. Postal Service will delay the post and jeopardize the 2020 election. In a few news reports this week, the DNC jumped at what the party calls “Trump’s USPS Sabotage” – calling it a deliberate delay in the Postal Service’s mail delivery.

“The delay in Trump is dangerous for many Americans across the country who rely on e-mail to get the life-saving medications they need,” the Democrats argued. They said payment transactions and bills were also kept.

AOC joins other ‘rising stars’ in digging flesh light on Democratic Convention’s 2nd night

On Tuesday, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy announced that changes to the Postal Service would be postponed until after the election to reduce those concerns.

“To prevent even the appearance of any influence on election post, I suspend these initiatives until after the end of the election,” he said in a statement.

The standoff over the Postal Service comes as both parties argue over the proposed extension of mail-in-ballot paper for election day – with Republicans raising flags over possible fraud and Democrats accusing the GOP of trying to suppress voter turnout.

Ocasio-Cortez has summoned DeJoy separately to testify under oath about the Post Office’s situation. He is expected to do so this Friday before a House committee.
