Anthony Michael Hall came strangely into a hotel pool and caused a rudeness because he felt disrespectful, but video shows him only quarreling and unfair … and now he apologizes.
The 80s movie star was with his wife and his assistant Wednesday afternoon at the South Congress Hotel swimming pool in Austin, TX and brought a portable speaker and a jug with something … according to witnesses.
We are told that Hall of the get-go was rude and persistent – his music blew, other guests plagued and cursed for children, so he was asked to show it.
Based on this video, Anthony did not respond kindly to that request, and started yelling at the group of pool makers … making it clear that he did not care what they thought about his behavior, accusing them of being wrong.
At one point, he referred to a woman who recorded the incident as Rosie O’Donnell. Clearly annoyed about her filming, he started splashing water in her direction.
Our sources say that hotel security was mentioned during the exchange, and Anthony managed to leave the pool area. Police were not called.
Anthony has now issued a major mea culpa, saying he formally apologizes to the entire staff, his family and anyone who witnessed the incident.
Hall says … “As a result of a misunderstanding and miscommunication between myself and some hotel guests, the situation escalated into necessary and unfortunate.” He adds, “I deeply regret my words and actions and ask for forgiveness from anyone I may have offended.”
As you may remember … Hall stood for jail time back in 2016 for suspecting one of his LA neighbors. He did not ask for a prize and was given a 3-year probation instead.
