Anthony Davis sends the Lakers frenzy on Twitter while yelling “Purple until the day of my death”

Anthony Davis has yet to sign a long-term deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, but he recently expressed his desire to be a lifeguard for the Lakers from here on out.

From within the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida, Davis delivered a message that should be music to the ears of Lakers fans everywhere.

Since the Lakers traded for Davis in the offseason, he is expected to eventually sign a multi-year contract with the team.

In this offseason, Davis can choose not to participate in the last year of his current contract to sign a new agreement or choose the last year of his agreement.

Regardless of what Davis ends up doing, it seems an inevitable conclusion that he will sign with the Lakers.

Davis has a chance to follow in the footsteps of some of the Lakers’ great big men. Players like Shaquille O’Neal and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar became famous by dominating the court and winning multiple titles with the Lakers.

In his first year with the team, Davis has a chance to win a championship to his credit.

With the 2019-20 season on the cusp of its resumption, Davis and the Lakers are among the clear favorites to take the title home.

If they achieve that goal, the chances of Davis ending up staying with the team in the long term are likely to only increase.
