Another former NFL player on Tuesday ripped Giants rookie head coach Joe Judge for his hard-driving, old-school coaching style.

Former Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho, who was briefly on the Giants’ practice team in 2013, had this to say on Fox Sports 1:
Here is the full quote from Acho, who is now a Fox Sports 1 analyst:
“Fans of Giants, on behalf of everyone intelligent everywhere, I apologize for your 2-14 record this season. I have to go ahead and apologize. And it’s not your fault, Giants fans. It is not your fault that you have dedicated yourself to an organization that has hired a coach who employs imbecile practices. I’m not sure if imbecile is a word, but the practices that Joe Judge introduces are so dumb that imbecile is the only word that will fit. That is the only word that will fit the crime.
‘You’re a professional athlete. That means you have to be intrinsically motivated, which means motivation that comes from within. If you are not intrinsically motivated, then you are extensively motivated – money, fame, women, whatever you want to call it. All those things work. What doesn’t work is fear-based motivation: ‘Hey, if you mess with it, you need to crawl. When you mess up, wind currents run. ‘Those are tactics to use on children. ”
Former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe (a Hall of Famer) and Benjamin Watson (who was with Judge in New England last season) criticized him on Monday, after the Giants ‘first practice in pads, in which Judge’s players’ rounds ran had for errors.
Reactions from Acho came in front of the Giants’ second in-pads practice, on Tuesday. And during that practice, judge not only coached high-profile Saquon Barkley hard for everyone back, but (and this is even worse) he also kept a head-to-head, goal-line approach to drill.
Cornerback Corey Ballentine was shocked during that drill, which apparently could result in an injury, on just the second real day of training camp. But Ballentine completed the practice. After practice, Judge defended his coaching style and use of that drill passively.
