Andrea Bharat, the victim of the abduction, was attacked on her forehead with a blind object which caused her to fall down. Fractured skull and internal hemorrhage as a result of the impact.
According to the activist Ishan Ismail, who along with two other persons also paid for the private autopsy.
An autopsy performed at the Forensic Science Center on Monday was unable to determine how Bharat died.
Another autopsy was performed by Professor Hubert Daisley at Budupu Funeral Home in Kunupia.
Saying that he wants thousands of people, who have supported Bharat and his family, to know the truth, Ishmael revealed the findings of the autopsy in a live video on social media this afternoon.
“I was not satisfied with the indecisive report I received from the pathologist yesterday as we promised yesterday. In fact, I said yesterday that it is unlikely for me that the report could be inconclusive after just a few days,” he said.
He said the findings were made even before Bharat’s father was released.
Ishmael said, “I can tell you that Professor Daisley’s report is not inconclusive and he found the cause of his death. There was a hemorrhage. The whole area inside the skull you can see it’s pinkish red … He died of internal hemorrhage.
Ishmael said the pathologist also found puncture wounds on Bharat’s arm. However, he said Daisley was unable to say whether she had been injured in the first autopsy.
Samples were taken to determine whether Bharat was sexually assaulted.
He said an abdominal examination indicated that Bharat was not fed or eaten in the hours before his death.
He said, “This is not my child and I feel like I am going through trauma. I want Mr. Bharat to know that we stand with him and will support him through this.”
The Express was told that both reports, aut topsy made by the state and privately, would be admissible in this matter.
