The anonymous Trump official says not to explicitly vote for Joe Biden, but the takeaway is unmistakable.
The person also calls on current and former White House officials to speak in public during a “season of charity” before voters decide to “rehire or retire Donald Trump.”
“Anonymous” said last year that they would reveal their identities to Trump before the election, but the person remains nameless in the latest edition, saying only that they intend to discover themselves in time.
“It’s a DC insider trying to sell books to other DC insiders,” Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh told POLITICO in a statement. ‘Just more cowardly nonsense from someone from the Deep State not brave to put their name in their own words.
The author – who appears to hold the views of a more established, George W. Bush-era Republican – claims that Trump in the Oval Office is making normal election problems less relevant this November.
“Character must determine our voice, because it will determine the course of our nation, ”they explain. “There should be no higher criterion for voters in these elections – no sentiment or circumstance, no personality or political ideology, no egos or economy.”
The portable tone continues, as “Anonymous” warns that America will become another Atlantis, “concerned with the annals of myth and history.”
Since her New York Times op-ed went viral in September 2018 and her book hit the top of the list of paper bestsellers in 2019 – replacing the book by Donald Trump Jr. – the identity of the person has been the subject of great intrigue in the White House. Trump called the original op-ed a treasonous act and asked the Justice Department to investigate. In 2019, the DOJ asked the publisher of the book and the author’s agents to identify details.
Earlier this year, legal representatives opposed then-Deputy National Security Adviser Victoria Coates, to the point that “anonymous agents” took the extraordinary step of publicly denying that it was her. “To be very clear, there is no chance of a single misunderstanding: Dr. Coates is not anonymous,” said Matt Latimer.
Even Coates was re-assigned to the Department of Energy amid speculation.
Trump told reporters in February that he knew the person’s white identity, but he could not publicly say who it was. In response, the official writes in the new preface that ‘those waiting for the customer should ask [the president] why has he kept it to himself for so long. ”
Former White House spokesman Anthony Scaramucci has turned a blind eye to ‘anonymous’ readers last week. when he tweeted “Coming anonymously. . .. ”But Scaramucci told POLITICO that he is not the author.
“I put my name on things,” Scaramucci said.
In the original op-ed 2018, Anonymous wrote that many other senior officials protected the country from what they considered to be dangerous instincts of the president. “This is not the work of the so-called deep state. It is the work of the solid state, ‘she wrote.
In the new preface,. they warn that the power of those officials – who have not been selected – has disappeared. “The rows of advisers who tell the president what he is needs to hear, instead of what he wol to hear are thin. ”
