U.S. De John Anton, 18, was arrested Wednesday by Marshall Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force and Grand Prairie Police on charges of political murder, police said in a release.
The arrests came days after police said they responded to the shooting at 1:50 a.m. Sunday and found Hasel suffering from gunshot wounds. Police said they provided assistance and then moved Hasel to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Hasel, 30, was best known for his roles in the TV series “Surface” and “Delivered Maids.”
He also appeared in “The Kids Are All Right”, starring Julianne Moore, Annette Benning and Mark Ruffalo, according to his IMDB page.
Anton, who was not a resident of Grand Prairie, is being held at the Grand Prairie Detention Center on a bond of 500,000, police said. CNN is unable to determine if Anton has an attorney at this time.
Officials said the case will be sent to the Taranto County District Attorney’s Office. The DA’s office is located at CNN. Said they have not scheduled a hearing in the case, and on Thursday afternoon C.T. So far nothing has been shown on the court docket.
