Annie Lennox lives for YouTube twins ‘Sweet Dreams (Made of This)’

Annie Lennox wrote and performed one of Eurythmics’ most unexpected biggest hits when “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” came out and became a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1983. But some fans are just getting there by 2020.

Lennox was made aware that Tim and Fred Williams, a set of twin brothers from Gary, Ind., Came across their hit for the first time this week. The 21-year-old brothers have grown to fame as late as discovering hits from the decades and their film response to listening to their “First Time Hearing” series on their popular YouTube channel TwinsthenewTrend. And in a video from August 9, the two date their first time in ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)’, and it certainly did not disappoint.

And Lennox felt very happy watching her comment video, which she shared on her Twitter account (August 14). “Oh, my GOD !!!” THAT is where the true power of music lies … A bridge to the soul and intellect! “

In a separate tweet, she stated that “Sweet Dreams is a surreal futuristic dystopian mantra for the existential character of our human dilemma !!!!! Ya think? !!!!”

Twitter users also alerted Lennox in the replies section that the twins filmed a reaction video yesterday for their solo hit “I Put a Spell On You” (August 13).

Some other well-known no. 1 Hot 100 classics that the Williams brothers arrived just last week for their “First Time Hearing” series include Toto’s “Africa,” Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” and OutKast’s “Hey Ya!” Their most famous reaction video captures their first encounter with Phil Collins’ “In The Air Tonight” last month, which gave both parties a number up. The Williams Brothers’ video has since garnered more than five million YouTube views, and Collins himself experienced an incredible rise in streaming and sales numbers, with “In the Air Tonight” 1.1 million streams and 6,000 downloads in three days to the videos virality last Friday, August 7th.
