Animal Crossing update lets you jump into the water

The latest update for Animal Crossing: Hew Horizons is a “Free Summer Update” that will allow you to swim. Where before you could fish with your fishing rod, or leave your island to visit a friend, now you can … go ahead and jump. Now is the time to explore the ocean! Just in time for the dawn of July 2020! Either this or see Hamilton, or both!

The update allows users to swim in the ocean and dive under the waves to find sea creatures. You will enter, you will swim with the greatest ease and you will dive. Diving goes sideways: you will see overhead as you explore the rocky bottom of the ocean.

Once you find objects at the bottom of the sea, you can donate these items. You will address Blathers the owl, if you choose, and cast a “Starfish” or a sea anemone. Once you have donated a found creature, you will see that creature appear in the aquarium, ordered!

If you find a scallop, remember: “The otter is savored.” Pascal, the otter, could appear and ask for such a scallop, and you could also deliver it. Pascal could submit a DIY recipe for new items, which are much more amazing than scallops.

Another new encounter was added to the game with this update: Gulliver the Seagull! At first he will only be lying down. Feel free to talk to him as many times as you want, but … he’ll be quite tired during the first part of this update.

Fast forward to the end of the Nintendo revealed presentation for this update and you’ll find ANOTHER major update. There will be a summer update # 2 in early August. Maybe that’s when we’ll start to get some ARK-like underwater action … or ski boats!
