Animal Crossing: New Horizons is getting another update next month

Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ big 1.5 fall update is now live, with Halloween events and other new fall-themed content added to the game, but there’s still more to come this season. Nintendo has confirmed that another Animal Crossing update is coming in late November, and it looks like it will add two more seasonal events.

While Nintendo has not yet shared any further details about the November update, the announcement was accompanied by images of Franklin’s turkey and jingle reindeer. The former series hosts the ‘Harvest Festival’ (Thanksgiving) event, while the latter appears during Toy Day (Christmas), so it looks like both holidays are coming as part of the November update.

Nintendo hasn’t yet explained how the Harvest Festival or Toy Day events in New Horizons will work, but the previous installment of the series, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Franklin will send you to other villagers to collect items prepared for the dishes. Toy Day was even more involved. All December, you will need to talk to the villagers and take note of what they hope to achieve on Toy Day. Then, on December 24, you need to dress up as Santa and give each village the right gifts.

In the meantime, Halloween has been added to this week’s update along with related DYY dishes, furniture and other items. By the end of October, you’ll be able to buy candy at Nook’s Crane, as well as the pumpkins that you will plant and grow. These pumpkins can then be used to craft other items from Halloween-themed decorations and new DYY recipes.

Plus, this week’s update makes it much easier to revisit dreams. Dream islands that you have visited before will appear as part of the list, so you will not need to re-enter their dream address whenever you want to return. Nintendo has also rolled out an update for the Nooklink function that lets you use feedback in-game from a smartphone app.

In addition to the next update, Animal Crossing Amoeba Cards is also coming back this November. Series 1 to 4 of Amibo Cards will again be available at retailers. Each pack will cost USD 6 USD and includes six cards. You can use these cards to invite villagers to stay on your island or to take photos of them in the game’s photopia mode. The long-selling Out Animal Crossing-Edition Switch console is also starting to return to select stores.

Gamespot can get commission from retail.
