Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bug-Off Guide and Rewards List

Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘The Bug-Off event is a one-day challenge organized by Flick the Red Lizard.

It takes place on Saturdays during the summer months, so players from the northern hemisphere will have it from June to September and players from the southern hemisphere will have it from November to February. Flick will be available in the Resident Services Plaza from 9 am to 6 pm in your time zone as the host.

Like the Fishing Tournament, players are tasked with catching as many mistakes as they can in three minutes. You will get one point by mistake and get two point bonus if you manage to catch more than three. Every 10 points you earn, you can get a random Flick item as a reward.

It costs 500 Bells to enter the Bug-Off, but your first time will be free. Bells are easily remanufactured as you can choose to sell all your bugs directly to Flick after each round. Errors detected during the three-minute period will automatically transfer to an error cage next to Flick, so don’t worry about inventory space.

You will also earn metal trophies for milestones you achieve. You will get a bronze trophy with 100 points, a silver trophy with 200 points and a gold trophy with a whopping 300 points.

To accumulate a ton of points, we recommend playing Bug-Off with friends. You can start a game with friends on your island, and all the points each player earns will be accumulated for a better profit.
