Angela Deem refuses to cook for Michael Ilesanmi’s family
Angela is visiting Michael in Nigeria so they can get married, but they plan to do something first. Michael invites his mother and aunt to his apartment to discuss the wedding plans. However, the problem begins when Michael tells Angela that he will have to prepare dinner for everyone. Angela insists that she will not cook for the impending dinner and says that Michael will help out in the kitchen.
Michael tells the cameras that he thinks his wife should be the one preparing meals for everyone, and Angela replies that she won’t do any of that. “He’ll see, because I’m not doing any of that,” Angela tells the cameras in front of Michael.
“First of all, I didn’t come to Nigeria to cook. I’m not cooking ad ***, ”explains Angela.
Angela goes to the market with Michael and it is a memorable experience.

They arrive at a Nigerian market, and Angela seems horrified by what she sees there. She says she generally goes to a grocery store to get her food, and this is certainly not what she’s used to. Angela says they will only order pizza. When they get to the meat area, Angela can’t take much longer. She says she doesn’t want meat, but she still walks down the main hallway. She ends up throwing up a bit of the experience. Angela says she cannot live like this, and it is clear that she is struggling.
How Angela Gets to Dinner with Michael’s Family in a Very American Way
Before Michael’s family arrives, he is busy in the kitchen trying to cook dinner. Angela ordered a pizza and says that is the only contribution she is making for dinner. They finally arrive, and they see Michael cooking, and his mother finds it unusual. Angela explains that she doesn’t have time to cook.
However, Michael’s aunt tells him that his mother is old and cannot eat the type of food that he prepared for them. Angela pulls out the pizza and says she knew the “backup would work.” It is a great success, and Michael’s mother can eat it, and she says she even likes it. Angela shows them how to pick up the pizza and eat it, and Michael’s mother says this is how she wants to eat it, too. So everyone participates in pizza the way most people choose to eat it, holding the entire slice.
