Android Auto Custom Google Helper Preps Google Shortcuts

Fans of using Android in the car may be more excited with the upcoming launch of Google Assistant Driving Mode, Android Android Auto is preparing its own upgrade with custom shortcuts of assistive actions and contacts.

About APK Insight: In this “APK Insight” post, we have dismantled the latest version of the app that Google uploaded to the Play Store. When we decompile these files (in the case of Android apps, called APKs), we are able to see different lines of code within that hint at potential future features. Keep in mind that Google may or may not ship these features, and our interpretation of what it is may be incomplete. We will try to enable people close to that finish, however, to show them how they will look in case they get on the ship. With that in mind, read on.

Today in Android AutoTom, you can access some Google support routines like Calendar and News, which run a preset query to which the assistant ibly dissex responds. We can also see this next feature in action Mishal Rahman of XDA Enabled support part of this feature. In the screenshot shots provided, we’ve seen that we’ll be able to specify a custom name for that command as well as a custom command for that command to appear in the Android Assistant launcher.

As shown above, shortcuts in the Android Auto tome will be given a simple mark based on the first letter of your custom label. This custom routine should allow for more Google services, as well as smart one-on-one tasks at home, such as one-tap tap access to adjust your nest thermostat when going home during the day.

In addition, Android Auto Too will offer the option to save a custom launcher icon for one of your favorite contacts. Tapping on this icon should start the phone immediately with that contact.
