Andrew Thomas, a former Georgia football player, signed a guaranteed $ 32.345 million, four-year contract Monday, according to NFL Network and NJ.com.
Thomas was the No. 4 overall choice in the 2020 NFL Draft and the first selected lineman.

“He has the right behavior, the right makeup,” Giants coach Joe Judge said, according to NJ.com.
“Not being able to be on campus, not having the luxury of professional days or 30 visits to our facilities, I had to trust his contacts, and this is a person that many close people with whom I have worked have worked directly (I knew on) “.

Thomas’ four-year contract includes a signing bonus of $ 21.1 million.
Meanwhile, former Georgia cornerback DeAndre Baker has been listed on the NFL commissioner’s Exemption List, according to the New York Daily News.
Players on the commissioner’s exempt list may still show up at a facility and participate in some non-soccer related activities IF the team grants permission to do so.

Players on the commissioner’s exempt list may not practice with the team or attend games.

Baker has parted ways with the New York team that made him a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft after he won the Thorpe Award as the best defensive defense in college football.
The former UGA star turned himself in to authorities in May after his alleged involvement in an armed robbery case in Miramar, Florida.

Baker was charged with four counts of armed robbery and four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar was also included on the NFL commissioner’s exempt list and has four pending armed robbery charges stemming from the same alleged act.
Both Baker and Dunbar are on bail. The Florida state attorney’s office has not yet clarified whether it will attempt to prosecute the players.
