Just yesterday, we received FCC filings for a new anchor powerwave wireless charging pad that mentioned the unveiled second generation of eco buds with wireless charging in the name itself. That charger has since been completely leaked to the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) list. Gizmochina.
The recently drawn WPC list includes a render of the product at the top of this post which gives us a few hints about what the Eco Buds case looks like and some of the features of the pad. The charger seems to have a random indentation to relax the wireless charging case of the Echo Buds, indicating that the case will have a much larger shape than the more rectangular ones used with the original Echo Buds. (We have observed the same size shape in the figure of the inserted pad with FCC filings.)
The charger also looks for different charging indicators for case and earbuds, which can be an easy way to know at a glance if your eco buds are fully charged, but not the case. There is also a charging light called “Phone”, which will probably light up when you place the phone on the pad.
It’s unclear when this charging pad will come out, but the fact is that it has appeared on both WPC and FCC filings that could be released soon. And if this charging pad for a new set of Echo Buds is largely on the way, it suggests that the headphones themselves could also be advertised.
