Authorities say an Australian-Australian woman was killed over the weekend after a picture slipped on a famous rock in Victoria.
The 38-year-old mother was at the Boroca lookout inside Grampians National Park when the fatal fall, 260 feet, occurred at 3pm local time on Saturday.
“His death is not considered suspicious,” Natalie Dean, a leading senior constable at Victoria Police, said in a statement.
Victoria Police Minister Lisa Neville told the national public broadcaster Australian Australian Broadcasting Corporation that tourists should be more careful.
“My message is: stop taking this extreme photo for social media purposes.” “Enjoy what we have. But you don’t have to do it in an extreme way.”
He added: “No photo is right for life.”
Boroka Lookout is about 170 miles west of the state capital Melbourne.
