Amy Schumer reveals Lyme disease diagnosis: ‘I’ve probably been doing it for years’


Amy Schumer revealed that she had been diagnosed with Lyme disease.

The 39-year-old comedian updated fans about his health with a post on social media.

“Does anyone get LYME this summer? I got it and I’m on doxycycline,” he wrote Tuesday. “I’ve probably had it for years. Any advice? Can you get a glass of wine or 2 on it?”

“I know how to stay out of the sun. I’m also taking these herbs from the cap code as Lim-2,” Schusher added. “I also want to say that I feel good and I’m excited to get rid of it.”

According to the CDC, Lyme disease is caused by a bacterium called “Berelia burgdorferi and, rarely, Berelia mayonnaise.” It is transmitted to humans by the bite of an infected bladder tick, ”according to the CDC.

Common symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue, and sometimes characteristic “bull-eye” skin rashes.

Other celebs, such as Bella Hadid, have previously confessed to fighting the disease.

Model Dale states that her symptoms include difficulty breathing, headaches, changes in body temp, ause bak, improper diet, insomnia, joint pain, brain fog, weight gain or loss, light and sound sensitivity and more.

“Every day I experience at least 10 of these symptoms without fail … because I was probably 14, but more aggressively when I turned 18.”

The model refers to Lyme as an “invisible disease,” probably because it is not visually obvious when one experiences those symptoms.

Hadid’s younger brother Anwar and his mother, Yolanda, a former “Real Housewives” star from Beverly Hills, also suffer from the disease.
